David K Jones

David K Jones artist-voice actor-writer-author

David K. Jones is a dedicated Florida based watercolorist specializing in tropical and Florida-themed subjects, with a devoted following among fellow Parrotheads who recognize his flowing watercolor style is a vivid visual extension of the local island culture, nautical themes, and the Jimmy Buffett spirit. Drawing on a lifelong love of Buffett's music and the sun-soaked world it evokes, David brings warmth, color, and a laid-back joy to every painting.

David is the son of professional artist Virginia Jones, who was his earliest and most influential teacher. At 15 he found a second calling as a radio DJ — originally a means to fund architecture school — that evolved into a celebrated career behind the mic at KOST Los Angeles, KSLX (Jones & Boze), WFLC Miami, and The Bay in Tampa. All the while, he never stopped painting.

Today, David works full time as a watercolorist, with originals and prints in the collections of buyers around the world. He still lends his voice to select voiceover work, but the brush is always close at hand — and the music is always on.
